Vienna Parlament

I had an opportunity to tour the Vienna Parlament building last October, but never posted any pictures, so I'm fixing that today. The building is rarely open for tours, but they always open it on Independence Day (October 25) so I made sure to be there and take advantage of the rare opportunity. This is the main parliamentary assembly room.

I have a fascination with light fixtures - they are all so unique and interesting. I thought these three were especially lovely.

I loved the decorative touches throughout. Here's a few samples:

I love it! Wish I had remembered to go that day, but I am not up on Viennese holidays (still...)

My kids loved the memory game you bought them though, they play their own quirky version of the game!
